(2) DIRECTOR’S CRAFT – DIRECTING FILMS
(3) SCRIPT / SCREENPLAY WRITING
Among the first of its kind, these workshops will have just 10-15 participants, aspiring to get a BASIC FOUNDATION in the various aspects of these respective avenues in the film industry. The workshops are conducted at PANJIM and MARGAO, by expert Faculty in the Film Industry with over 20 years in the field. Though the Workshops are fully practical, a lot of study material will be provided to the participants during the workshop.

Gain a solid acting base. Learn acting techniques, methods, and theories thoroughly, to gain the best possible foundation for your acting career! Yes, you do need classes and experience, BUT first, you need a SOLID platform upon which to build. Get it Now!
This Workshop is open to girls and boys, who aspire to learn the art of acting and hone their talents. No previous experience is required since this is a Workshop for freshers. Also, there is no basic height or ‘looks’ requirement, since acting is open to all. There are different roles in films and according to the casting, you may be selected for specific roles.
These days aspiring actors and actresses knock from door to door, or look out for guidance and try to get a grasp on the way of acting, in their own style. The sad truth is that this very rarely happens because they have no single underlying understanding of the processes at work in human interaction, no mental framework upon which to hang their experiences. They go from one isolated idea to the next, with no links, no cohesion, and no plan.
The STENODAC Acting Workshop fills this much-needed gap in the modern acting study. Once you have completed the Workshop, all the sessions your experience will make more sense, allowing you to take the guess-work out of “how to become a great actor or actress” and putting you in control of your future.
Acting is a craft. It is something you spend your life learning. Read about it, attend talks, take classes, go to movies. But you must act. Do it at home; amongst friends, or before a mirror. Always be performing. Somewhere, anywhere. For pay or for free. Do it for the love of acting, not because you think you will get rich. Most actors are what is called “working actors”. They drive themselves to work. They act because they love it. You must love art and craft. Enjoy what you do, and see the spontaneity come more naturally.
Most of all? Never give up. There are tons of actors out there who are going to give up before you do. Be realistic with your expectations. This is a different field altogether. It takes TIME to get anywhere in ANY profession. Acting is no different.
This Workshop has been built up over two decades of personal study, training, and experience.
The teaching techniques teach actors to discover their unique qualities and overcome any self-defeating behavior to achieve success. The classes include monologues, scene study, improvisation, audition skills, movement, and personal exercises. Scenes are often critiqued so actors can review their work. We believe that success in the industry is not an accident. We will help you to map out your strategy for a long and successful career.
You will be trained in the same way as students on longer courses. It will be very exacting and exhausting. A maximum of practical work based on the three central elements of our training: acting (including improvisation), movement, and voice. Work is conducted in small groups as well as on a one-to-one basis. The individual work is on voice, movement, and physical skills.
In voice, the students have the opportunity to develop projection, range, clarity, strength, and flexibility without losing their individual characteristics of speech. The study of dialect and phonetics enables mastery of speech patterns other than their own, forms the basis for interpretative expression. The ordered Movement and voice are brought together as the Workshop develops. The sessions are flexible enough to allow changes of emphasis according to the needs of the particular group.
HOW MANY STUDENTS WILL BE ON THE COURSE?
10 – 15 candidates only, per workshop. This is the only way to learn practically. As mentioned, our focus is on practicality, rather than the theory of the acting craft.
